Every year on October 4th, people all over the world come together to recognize how much animals contribute to the world and share their events and contributions to different organizations and groups working to improve life for all living things on our planet. Research dates the start of World Animal Day back to March 24th of 1925 by German writer Heinrich Zimmermann, a man working towards animal rights and protection as well of cruelty prevention (1). For almost 100 years, millions of people across the globe donate their time and expenses to volunteer at charities, preserve natural habitats, and give homes to orphaned animals among many other things.
