Today is World One Health Day, which is celebrated annually on November 3rd. This year we are celebrating the 10th year of World One Health Day, each year this day has been reserved to bring awareness to health in relation to humans, animals, and the environment. Many organizations have come together to create a powerful voice to create initiative to health concerns which affect us, our pets, livestock, crops, food, and so much more. These organizations are powered by physicians, veterinarians, various scientists, political figures, and so many more. The World One Health Day initiative discusses and works to solve various problems such as zoonotic diseases, antibiotic resistance, global warming, pollution, and food safety. Across the world there have been organized projects and events to assist in solving these problems that relate to things such as global warming, pollution, and local concerns. Unfortunately, there are no ongoing events in Yankton or the State of South Dakota at the moment but events are held all year long so keep an eye out!
